Dear Friends,

In 1998 DFJCA was formed, many things are still exactly the same as was envisioned by our founders, while other things have evolved to what the organization we are today. My husband and I joined in 1999 immediately after we had attended the High Holiday services that year. That was the best decision we could have made. The people we have met and the friends we have made, along with others who have been touched by this association, believe it has been a unique experience.

The DFJCA has something for everyone even if you belong to another temple or synagogue in Scottsdale or “back home.” Our members enjoy our abbreviated monthly Shabbat service, diversified programming, and a welcoming “nosh”. DFJCA provides for community volunteering by becoming a board member, joining a committee, participating in our Havurah groups, celebrating Chanukah and Passover and/or attending our High Holidays as a member of the community-at-large, year after year. Some delight in the best “buffet” in Scottsdale at our Spring Fling and others enjoy being outside at the annual Fall Picnic. Many of us do it “all.” This has been an extraordinarily successful 25-year experiment.

At this time, I welcome you to our new website, but more importantly, I invite you to a group that offers an opportunity to have a Jewish “home,” throughout the year. I look forward to meeting new members and welcoming returning members at any and all times.
